FAQ
Is the program cohort-based?
Will select 3-5 startups to enter a 18 months accelerator program, but we remain flexible with the timeline of each PoC and pilot project.
Is the program free of costs?
If your startup is chosen to participate in the accelerator, the financial details of the pilot can be discussed in due time. Each project has its own financial considerations, so when the time comes, all of these details will be taken into account and discussed in order to ensure that the terms of the project are satisfactory for both parties. During the selection process, your startup may be invited to participate in a demo day in Mississauga, and EllisDon will reimburse your travel expenses (pre defined fees).
What is the workload and required effort for startups when joining the program?
The workload will depend on the nature of each PoC and pilot. While we don’t require a minimum of hours, we do expect participants to be available to travel to Canada and put required time and effort to meet targeted pilot objectives. We also expect participants to actively participate and engage in the program to fully benefit from the network and business development coaching.
What type of mentoring, coaching and funding opportunities are offered?
Access to expertise as well as coaching and mentoring will be provided through Impulse Partners’ network and local program partners to support the pilot projects. The support will be tailored to the startups’ needs and maturity level.
